  • Lead scoring and analytics: Hubspot includes lead scoring capabilities and detailed analytics to help your sales team track performance and optimize its strategy.

In short, Hubspot is a very strong tool that improves your sales team’s efficiency and helps you close deals !

Benefits of integrating Vidyard with Hubspot 

Now that you know why Vidyard and Hubspot are individually useful tools, you need to know why it could be interesting to use them together. First, you must know that using videos for your marketing campaigns is a VERY good idea. People are more likely to click and engage with your content if it’s a video.

Well, that’s why using Vidyard with Hubspot is a good strategy. It allows you to:

How to use Vidyard with Hubspot

Select a folder for the integration

The first step of the process is to choose a folder for the Hubspot integration. The folder you choose will decide which videos you can get data for in your Hubspot contact records and which videos you can access from your library with Vidyard's drag & drop module.

Note that you can select multiple folders for the integration as long as they don’t have a parent/child relationship

Connect Hubspot to your Vidyard account

Once you’ve selected your(s) folder(s), you can connect your Hubspot account to Vidyard. For that:

  1. Open Vidyard and sign in to your account
  1. Select Admin, and then Apps & Integrations 
  1. On this page, you can select “Change Folder” to select the folder you want the integration on
  1. Click on “Add” next to HubSpot
  1. Click “Yes” when the pop-up windows appear, to confirm the integration

Congratulations, the integration is complete !

How to take full advantage of Vidyard integration in Hubspot

Now that the integration is done, you still have several things I’d strongly advise you to do to benefit from the tools’ full potential.

Allow Vidyard to create contacts

Another interesting thing about the integration of Vidyard with Hubspot is that Vidyard can create a new contact when it identifies a viewer that isn’t already in Hubspot database.

For that:

  1. Go to Apps & Integrations
  1. Click on the 3 dots next to Hubspot and select “Update”
  1. Switch “Allow Contact Creation” to ON
  1. Click on “Update”

Allow Vidyard to create marketing contacts

Allowing Vidyard to create contacts is good but it’s even better if it can create marketing contacts (contacts that can be targeted in Hubspot marketing campaigns) ! Here is how you can proceed:

  1. Enter in the Settings of your Hubspot account
  1. Select Integrations and then Marketing Contacts
  1. You’ll see a section named Your Connected Apps on which you can find Vidyard (if you’ve done the integration before) switch it ON
