How does Gong Connect Work?
Using Gong Connect involves a few straightforward steps:
Step 1: Setup
First, ensure Gong Connect is enabled by your tech admin. Download the Gong mobile app for iOS, tap the Calls button, and follow the on-screen instructions to register and verify your phone number. Gong Connect is currently unavailable on Android.
Step 2: Make a Call
To make a call, use the Gong Connect call button in the app. You can select contacts from your connected CRM or use the free dial option, entering the full phone number including the country and area code.
Step 3: During the Call
During the call, you have options to mute, use the speaker, access the dial pad, or cancel the recording. If you choose to cancel, the recording is permanently deleted.
Step 4: Update Contact Details
Post-call, you can update contact details directly in the app. Note, changes in Gong are not synced back to your CRM.
Why isn’t Gong Connect working?
If Gong Connect isn't working, it might be because it's not yet enabled by your admin, or you are using an unsupported device (Android support is pending). Ensure your app is updated and that your device settings allow VoIP calls.
Can I Use Gong Connect on My Tablet?
Yes, as long as the tablet supports the iOS version of the Gong mobile app and has cellular or Wi-Fi connectivity, you can use Gong Connect similarly to how it's used on smartphones.
