Clari competitors and alternatives in 2026: 9 tools compared after the Salesloft merger
Clari is now part of Salesloft. Here are the 9 best Clari competitors and alternatives in 2026, split by forecasting and call intelligence, with Vendr pricing, MCP access, EU hosting and G2 ratings.
Prices, G2 ratings, MCP status and redirects checked on 5 October 2026.
Article overview
- The main Clari competitors in 2026 are Claap, Gong, Outreach, Aviso, Terret, Backstory, Avoma, Modjo and Attention. They split into two groups: forecasting platforms that replace Clari Forecast (Gong, Outreach, Aviso, Terret) and conversation and deal intelligence tools that replace Clari Copilot (Claap, Backstory, Avoma, Modjo, Attention).
- Clari is no longer a separate company. Clari merged with Salesloft on 3 December 2025, and on 2 September 2026 Salesloft retired the dual brand. Clari.com now redirects to salesloft.com, and only Clari Forecast keeps the Clari name.
- Salesloft is not a Clari competitor any more. It is the same company. Several top-ranking lists of Clari competitors still recommend Salesloft as an alternative to Clari.
- Two classic Clari competitors have changed names. BoostUp became Terret in September 2025, and People.ai became Backstory in April 2026.
- Clari does not publish prices. Vendr's data on 291 Clari purchases puts the median contract at $76,000 per year, with yearly price escalators of 5–8%.
- Clari rarely comes up for teams under 100 sellers. In Claap deals in Q2 and Q3 2026 where the buyer's evaluated competitors were recorded, Clari appeared in under 2% of them, against 30% for Gong. Every one of those Clari deals had more than 100 sales seats.
Clari's own research found that 87% of North American enterprises missed their 2025 revenue targets, in a survey of 400 CIOs, CROs and RevOps leaders (Clari Labs via Business Wire, January 2026). An older Gartner survey found that only 45% of sales leaders had high confidence in their forecast accuracy (Gartner, February 2020). A forecast is only as good as the deal data underneath it. That is why the choice of a Clari alternative starts with one question: do you need to replace the forecast, or the evidence that feeds it? This guide answers both, compares 9 tools on price, forecasting, CRM write-back, MCP access for AI agents, EU data hosting and G2 ratings, and shares what buyers told us about Clari on real sales calls.
Clari competitors at a glance

| Backstory (ex-People.ai) | Enterprises whose real problem is missing activity data in Salesforce | Copilot (activity capture) | Not public | $24,480/yr | Yes | 4.5 (630) |
| Avoma | SMB teams that want notes, call intelligence and a simple forecast with transparent pricing | Copilot + light Forecast | $24 + $29 CI + $29 RI (annual) | n/a | Yes | 4.6 (1,365) |
| Modjo | French and European mid-market teams that want an EU-hosted vendor | Copilot | Not public | n/a | Yes | 4.7 (92) |
| Attention | US teams that want call data to drive CRM workflows | Copilot | Not public | n/a | Read and write, 81 tools | 4.6 (78) |
Vendr medians are third-party figures from Vendr's marketplace pages (last updated February or March 2026), not vendor list prices. G2 ratings read on 5 October 2026; Outreach, Aviso, Terret, Backstory and Clari from G2 search listings. Terret's and Backstory's Vendr pages still carry their old names.
What happened to Clari in 2025 and 2026
Most lists of Clari competitors were written before Clari stopped being a standalone company. Here is the timeline, checked on 5 October 2026:
| Date | Event |
|---|---|
| June 2022 | Clari buys Wingman, which becomes Clari Copilot |
| 3 December 2025 | Clari and Salesloft complete their merger. Steve Cox is CEO of the combined company |
| April 2026 | Salesloft launches its MCP server for AI agents |
| 9 July 2026 | The Salesloft MCP server is expanded to Clari Copilot call data, Clari forecasting data and write-back ([Salesloft](https://www.salesloft.com/company/newsroom/salesloft-mcp-server-revenue-data-ai-ecosystem)) |
| 2 September 2026 | Salesloft retires the dual brand. "Clari Forecast retains the Clari name", while Clari's other capabilities "continue as part of Salesloft" ([Salesloft](https://www.salesloft.com/company/newsroom/salesloft-unveils-unified-brand-identity)) |
What that means in practice on 5 October 2026:
- clari.com redirects to salesloft.com. The Clari Copilot product page redirects to Salesloft's conversation intelligence page, which no longer uses the Copilot name.
- The products are still separate apps. Salesloft's site has separate logins for Salesloft, Clari Forecast, Conversations (on copilot.clari.com), Drift and Groove.
- Salesloft is now the parent, not a competitor. If you are leaving Clari, Salesloft is the vendor you are leaving.

What buyers told us about Clari
Claap is a conversation intelligence tool, so we record our own sales calls. Between October 2025 and September 2026, buyers brought up Clari on a small number of those calls, mostly at large companies. That sample is too small to turn into percentages, so we only share what those buyers said, word for word, and what our deal data shows.
Who brings Clari into a sales cycle
In Q2 and Q3 2026, Clari appeared in under 2% of Claap deals where the buyer's evaluated competitors were recorded. Modjo appeared in 45% and Gong in 30%. Every deal where Clari was evaluated had more than 100 sales seats, and in every one of them Gong was evaluated too.
Clari is an enterprise forecasting purchase. Teams under 100 sellers rarely put it on a shortlist, and when they look for a Clari alternative they are usually looking for its call intelligence side.
What Clari buyers said
Clari's price advantage on call recording is real. A global RevOps leader at a European software group running Clari and another call platform side by side after a merger told us that [the other call platform] was "four times more expensive than what we pay for Clari". He put Clari's cost at about $17 per user per month and said: "Others, like Clari, have a pure price advantage. Am I going to decide on price alone? No."
The 80% problem. The same leader described the conversation he expected with his CEO: "He'll tell me Clari covers 80% of the need. Why would I pay twice as much?" His other concern was the roadmap after the merger: "I don't have huge confidence in their roadmap. But maybe that's an unfair assumption."
Clari's forecasting is the part people miss. A sales leader at a US workplace-software company, who had used Clari at a previous employer, told us what he valued: "That was the cool part of Clari. [It] wasn't call intelligence at the time, but it was everything else about the deal that was going on. So how many calls [has] the rep made? When was the last time they opened an email? Based on other deals this size, is it pacing the right way?"
Smaller teams want fewer tools. The same leader said: "For a while, [the big sales platforms] started to combine everything. We're a small business. We're not looking to have 19 tools to try to manage."
Switchers want their history. A revenue team at a research-platform scale-up that moved from Clari to Claap in 2026 cared most about keeping its past calls: "We can import all of our Clari calls and back-apply MEDDPICC and our values to them." Their growth lead added: "It's probably just not super cohesive when you start to work across quite a few different tools. The ability to bring that all together under one roof is very appealing."
Methodology and limits: this is Claap's own pipeline, which leans toward SMB and mid-market buyers, so Clari is under-represented compared with the enterprise market. Only the buyer's own words were quoted. Quotes are anonymized, some are translated from French, and other vendors named inside a quote are replaced with a description in brackets.
How much Clari really costs in 2026
Clari does not publish prices, and clari.com/pricing now redirects to a Salesloft demo form. The best public data comes from Vendr, which tracks 291 Clari purchases (Vendr, February 2026):
- Median contract: $76,000 per year, with a range from $19,065 to $415,001.
- Single product: Vendr says a 50-user deal for one product, Copilot or Forecast, lands "in the mid-five-figure range".
- Escalators: Vendr reports annual price escalation clauses of 5–8% per year, plus implementation fees from a few thousand dollars to mid-five figures.
- Negotiation: buyers report average savings of 15%, and Vendr notes that Gong quotes are common leverage in Clari renewals.
Per-seat estimates for Clari Copilot published by pricing guides range from $60 to $160 per user per month depending on tier and bundle. These are third-party estimates and they disagree with each other. Large customers can pay far less: the RevOps leader quoted above put his Clari cost at around $17 per user per month.
How the median contracts compare (Vendr, third-party data):
| Vendor | Vendr median contract per year |
|---|---|
| Clari | $76,000 |
| Aviso | $73,662 |
| Gong | $55,359 |
| Outreach | $45,600 |
| Salesloft | $30,740 |
| Terret (BoostUp) | $30,420 |
| Backstory (People.ai) | $24,480 |
A worked example for a 50-rep team, per year:
| Tool | Calculation | Total per year |
|---|---|---|
| Clari, one product (Vendr) | "Mid-five-figure range" for 50 users | About $40,000–60,000 (estimate) |
| Claap Business (list price) | 50 × €48 × 12 | €28,800 |
| Avoma Organization + CI + RI add-ons (list price) | 50 × ($24 + $29 + $29) × 12 | $49,200 |
Claap and Avoma figures are annual-billing list prices from claap.io/pricing and avoma.com/pricing on 5 October 2026. Claap's deal forecasting is on the Enterprise plan, priced on quote. The Clari range is our reading of Vendr's "mid-five-figure" wording, not a quote.
The 9 best Clari competitors and alternatives in 2026
1. Claap
Best for: sales teams of 5 to 100 reps that want the call evidence behind every deal written into the CRM, and AI agents that can read and act on it, at a published per-seat price.
Overview. Claap is a conversation intelligence platform by lemlist. It records video calls (with or without a bot), phone calls from dialers such as Aircall and Ringover, and emails, then turns them into deal data: AI fields filled in HubSpot or Salesforce, deal risk, coaching scorecards and win-loss analysis. On the Enterprise plan, Claap adds deal and account forecasting "built from the calls": commit, best case, at-risk and slipped amounts weighted by the risks read on calls, not by stage alone. Claap's MCP server lets AI agents like Claude and ChatGPT read transcripts and CRM data and write back. Claap is hosted in the EU, SOC 2 Type II certified and transcribes 99+ languages, and it migrates transcripts, recordings and metadata from Clari.
Pricing. Free Basic plan. Pro is €24 per seat per month billed annually (€30 monthly). Business is €48 per seat per month billed annually (€60 monthly) and adds the Claap agent on all meetings, CRM auto-complete, AI coaching and deal insights. Enterprise is priced on quote and includes deal forecasting, account scoring and contact insights. No platform fee.
Pros
- Published pricing with a free plan and no platform fee
- MCP access that reads transcripts and writes to the CRM, on every plan including free
- Migration of Clari recordings and transcripts, and new AI fields back-fill past calls
Cons
- Not a roll-up forecasting tool like Clari Forecast. Claap fills your CRM forecast with call evidence rather than replacing it
- Deal forecasting is Enterprise-only
- Smaller review base than Clari or Gong, and AI credits cap usage on Pro and Business
A note on fairness: a buyer in our calls pointed out that prompt-based AI fields that write to Salesforce are "no longer an advantage" for Claap alone, since Gong shipped them in summer 2026. Claap's difference is the price, the MCP that writes, and the bot-free capture.

2. Gong
Best for: enterprise revenue teams that want call intelligence and forecasting from a single vendor and have a RevOps team to run it.
Overview. Gong is the closest like-for-like replacement for Clari Copilot and Clari Forecast together. Gong Forecast, sold as a separate product next to the core platform, includes an AI revenue predictor, deal reviewer and deal monitor. Gong made Custom Agents generally available in June 2026 and announced Agent Builder in September 2026.
Pricing. Not public. Gong charges per user plus "a platform fee based on the number of users supported" (gong.io/pricing). Vendr's median contract is $55,359 per year across 593 purchases. Pricing guides estimate Gong Forecast at about $700 per user per year on top (third-party).
Pros
- The deepest call analytics and the largest review base in the category
- Forecasting and call intelligence in one vendor
- Fast-moving agent roadmap
Cons
- Platform fee before the first seat, and Forecast is sold separately
- Gong's MCP server is read-only and does not return call transcripts, per Gong's documentation

3. Outreach
Best for: teams already running sequences in Outreach that want forecasting in the same platform.
Overview. Outreach, now at outreach.ai, calls itself a revenue orchestration platform covering prospecting, deals, forecasting and coaching. Its Kaia call intelligence (live transcription, real-time content cards, summaries) is part of the Amplify packages. Forecasting (AI forecast projection, scenario planner, roll-ups) is only on the top Amplify Pro tier.
Pricing. Not public. Outreach combines seat pricing with AI credits (outreach.ai/pricing). Vendr's median contract is $45,600 per year across 917 purchases.
Pros
- Engagement, call intelligence and forecasting in one platform
- MCP server and MCP client, from Amplify Plus
- Large customer base and ecosystem
Cons
- Forecasting is gated to Amplify Pro
- AI-credit consumption makes spend harder to predict
- "High cost" leads G2's summary of reviewer cons
4. Aviso
Best for: enterprises that want a forecast-first replacement for Clari Forecast and are locked into a contract they want out of.
Overview. Aviso is an AI revenue platform built around forecasting, with customizable forecast hierarchies, pipeline inspection, live opportunity scoring and consumption forecasting. It adds conversation intelligence and a library of AI agents. Aviso's pricing page offers to "buy you out" of an existing vendor contract and to migrate for free.
Pricing. Not public, custom proposal only. Vendr's median contract is $73,662 per year, close to Clari's.
Pros
- Forecasting is the core product
- Contract buyout and free migration offer
- Conversation intelligence and agents included
Cons
- No public pricing, and a median contract close to Clari's
- No public MCP server found
- G2 reviewers mention slow loading and a learning curve
5. Terret (formerly BoostUp)
Best for: mid-market and enterprise RevOps teams that want forecasting-first software at well under Clari's median contract.
Overview. BoostUp rebranded as Terret on 9 September 2025 (Terret). It is a rebrand, not an acquisition: boostup.ai now redirects to terret.ai. Terret sells Terret Forecast, conversation intelligence and revenue agents, and connects to Salesforce, HubSpot, Dynamics and SAP.
Pricing. Not public. Vendr's median contract is $30,420 per year, on a page still titled BoostUp.
Pros
- Forecasting heritage with call intelligence included
- Median contract well below Clari's
- Works with HubSpot as well as Salesforce
Cons
- The name change confuses buyers, and many lists still say BoostUp
- No public pricing
- No documented MCP server
6. Backstory (formerly People.ai)
Best for: enterprises whose real problem is missing activity data in Salesforce, more than forecast mechanics.
Overview. People.ai rebranded as Backstory on 22 April 2026. Its site says "People.ai is now Backstory. Same product, same data infrastructure." Backstory captures every email, meeting and call and maps it to accounts and deals, then uses that activity data for forecast and pipeline risk insights. Its MCP server brings those answers into Claude, ChatGPT and Gemini.
Pricing. Not public. Backstory says its pricing is "built around what your team uses" rather than per seat. Vendr's median contract is $24,480 per year.
Pros
- Deep automatic activity capture into the CRM
- MCP server for the main AI assistants
- The lowest Vendr median in this list
Cons
- Not a roll-up forecasting tool on its own
- Fresh rebrand, so G2 and most lists still say People.ai
7. Avoma
Best for: SMB and mid-market teams that want notes, call intelligence and a simple forecast with transparent pricing.
Overview. Avoma combines AI notes, scheduling, conversation intelligence and a forecast tool. The forecast tool sits in the Revenue Intelligence add-on and needs Salesforce or HubSpot. It covers revenue tracking, pipeline health, targets and forecast submissions.
Pricing. Startup $19, Organization $24, Enterprise $39 per recorder seat per month, billed annually. Conversation Intelligence and Revenue Intelligence add-ons are $29 each per seat per month (annual). 14-day free trial.
Pros
- Transparent pricing and a real free trial
- A forecast tool at a fraction of Clari's cost
- MCP server for Claude
Cons
- Call intelligence and forecasting are both paid add-ons
- Forecasting works with Salesforce and HubSpot only today
- EU data hosting not stated publicly

8. Modjo
Best for: French and European mid-market sales teams that want an EU-hosted replacement for Clari Copilot.
Overview. Modjo is a Paris-based conversation intelligence platform founded in 2019. It records and transcribes sales calls and runs AI agents on them for meeting prep, deal review and follow-ups. Modjo hosts its data on AWS in Paris and is SOC 2 Type II certified. Modjo does not claim a forecasting module: its deals page covers pipeline visibility and deal insights.
Pricing. Not public. Modjo's pricing page says it is "optimal from 3 sales reps" and asks for a demo.
Pros
- EU hosting in Paris, SOC 2 Type II and GDPR
- Broad CRM coverage, including Dynamics 365, Pipedrive and Sellsy
- Ready-made deal agents and an MCP server
Cons
- No forecasting module, so it replaces Copilot, not Clari Forecast
- No public pricing

9. Attention
Best for: US revenue teams that want call data to trigger CRM updates and workflows, and have RevOps time to configure them.
Overview. Attention automates follow-ups, CRM filling and call scorecards, and offers a call-based deal score and pipeline reporting. Its FAQ says its forecasts "are grounded in real conversation data, not just rep-entered CRM fields". Attention has the largest MCP surface we found: 81 tools with read and write scopes.
Pricing. Not public.
Pros
- Read and write MCP with 81 tools
- Strong CRM auto-fill and scorecards
- Conversation-based deal scoring
Cons
- No public pricing
- No roll-up forecasting comparable to Clari Forecast
- Little public documentation on languages and EU data residency

"Not verified" and "not stated" mean we could not confirm it from the vendor's public documentation on 5 October 2026. Salesloft hosts its own platform in the US and the EU, but we found no documentation on where Clari Forecast and Conversations data are stored. We will update this table when vendors document it.
When you should stay on Clari
Clari Forecast is still the reference for roll-up forecasting, and Salesloft kept the Clari name on it for that reason. Stay on Clari if:
- Your CRO runs the forecast call in Clari Forecast. Roll-ups across regions, waterfall and pacing views are where Clari is strongest, and none of the call intelligence tools in this list replaces them.
- You are already buying the Salesloft suite. Engagement, conversation intelligence and forecasting now sit with one vendor, and a write-back MCP server is listed in Claude's connector directory.
- Your Clari price is already low. Large customers can have Clari Copilot seats far below list estimates. Price a switch against your real invoice, not against a pricing guide.
How to choose the right Clari alternative
- Decide which Clari you are replacing. Replacing Clari Forecast means Gong, Aviso, Terret or Outreach Amplify Pro. Replacing Clari Copilot means Claap, Avoma, Modjo, Attention or Backstory. Many teams keep their CRM's own forecast and only replace the call side.
- Price the whole contract. Ask for the platform fee, seat minimum, escalator clause, implementation fee and add-ons in writing. Clari's Vendr data shows 5–8% yearly escalators, and Gong Forecast, Outreach forecasting and Avoma's add-ons are all sold separately.
- Check what your AI agents can do with the data. Ask whether the MCP server returns transcripts, whether it can write to the CRM, and whether it is live today or only announced.
- Test with your own CRM. Run 10 real calls through your top two tools and check what lands in Salesforce or HubSpot, field by field.
- Plan the migration before you sign. Confirm in writing that the new vendor imports your Clari recordings with speakers and dates, and switch everyone at once so no team keeps recording in the old tool.
- For European teams, check data residency. Ask where recordings are stored and which subprocessors handle transcription.
How we built this comparison
- Vendor facts (pricing, plans, forecasting, MCP, hosting, redirects) come from each vendor's own website, documentation and press releases, checked on 5 October 2026. Where a vendor does not publish prices, we use Vendr's transaction data and label it as third-party.
- G2 ratings were read on 5 October 2026.
- Buyer data comes from Claap sales calls (October 2025 to September 2026) where an external buyer mentioned Clari, and from Claap deals in Q2 and Q3 2026 with recorded competitor evaluations. Only the buyer's own words were quoted.
- Conflict of interest: Claap is one of the tools in this list. We have tried to state every limitation of Claap as plainly as those of other tools, including that Claap does not replace Clari Forecast. If you spot an error about any vendor, write to us and we will correct it.

Frequently asked questions
Who are Clari's main competitors in 2026?
Clari's main competitors in 2026 are Gong, Outreach, Aviso and Terret (formerly BoostUp) for forecasting, and Claap, Backstory (formerly People.ai), Avoma, Modjo and Attention for conversation and deal intelligence. Salesloft is no longer a competitor: Clari and Salesloft merged in December 2025 and now operate under the Salesloft brand.
Is Clari part of Salesloft now?
Yes. Clari and Salesloft completed their merger on 3 December 2025, and on 2 September 2026 the combined company retired the dual brand in favour of Salesloft. Clari.com redirects to salesloft.com, and only Clari Forecast keeps the Clari name.
What happened to Clari Copilot?
Clari Copilot, formerly Wingman, is now sold as Salesloft Conversation Intelligence. The Clari Copilot product page redirects to Salesloft's conversation intelligence page, and since July 2026 Copilot call data is available through the Salesloft MCP server.
How much does Clari cost?
Clari does not publish prices. Vendr's data on 291 purchases shows a median contract of $76,000 per year, with annual price escalators of 5–8%. Vendr puts a 50-user deal for a single product, Copilot or Forecast, in the mid-five-figure range.
What is the best Clari alternative for a small sales team?
For teams under 100 reps, Clari is rarely the right fit: in Claap's own deal data, every deal where Clari was evaluated had more than 100 sales seats. Claap and Avoma both publish their prices and cover call intelligence, CRM write-back and coaching. Avoma adds a simple forecast as a paid add-on, and Claap adds deal forecasting from calls on its Enterprise plan.
Is there a free alternative to Clari?
Claap has a free Basic plan that includes MCP access, and Avoma offers a 14-day free trial. None of the forecasting platforms in this list (Gong, Outreach, Aviso, Terret) has a free plan.
Does Clari have an MCP server?
Clari data is available through the Salesloft MCP server. Salesloft expanded it on 9 July 2026 to cover Clari Copilot call intelligence and Clari forecasting data, and announced write-back so AI tools can take action in Salesloft and Clari. It is listed in Claude's connector directory.
Can I migrate my call recordings from Clari?
Yes. Claap migrates transcripts, recordings and metadata from Clari, Gong, Modjo and Fathom. Do the migration after your whole team has moved, so no calls are still being recorded in Clari while the import runs.
What is the difference between Clari and Gong?
Clari started as a forecasting platform and added call intelligence by buying Wingman. Gong started as a call intelligence platform and added Gong Forecast. Both now sell forecasting and call intelligence, both are priced by quote, and Vendr's median contract is $76,000 per year for Clari and $55,359 for Gong.
