No bot

No bot, and internal meetings included.

Claap records natively on Zoom, Meet and Teams, plus phone calls from Aircall and Ringover. Rules route internal meetings into folders with their own access levels, so pipeline reviews, coaching one-to-ones and handovers land in your library automatically. Modjo's recorder needs an external participant, so someone has to invite the bot by hand every time.

Smart Tables: AI fields aggregated per deal and per account, synced to the CRM
Smart Tables

Any field you can describe, computed on every call. Including last quarter's.

Define an AI field in a sentence: budget, decision-maker, competitor, churn risk. Claap computes it on every recording, deal and company, syncs it to HubSpot or Salesforce, and backfills your history. Modjo's AI Insights covers three fixed themes, and a new scoring criterion only applies to calls recorded after you publish it.

MCP for your AI agents

MCP: your AI agents read stored fields, and create new ones.

Connect Claude, ChatGPT or lemlist to Claap's MCP, in production since June 2025. Modjo ships a solid MCP too, so the question is what an agent can do with it. Claap returns rows already carrying every field value, and can create new fields and views. Modjo's twelve tools only read, and their API writes just users and tags. One question across a thousand calls: a thousand analyses their side, ten reads ours.

A queryable Smart Table. Pivot across all of them at once.

Modjo asks one call at a time and reports on three fixed themes. Claap computes your field on every record and keeps it, so the aggregate is already there. Define it once, backfill your history, then slice by rep, deal, company or quarter.

Who should pick which.

Claap: for fast-moving SMB and mid-market teams going AI-first.

No bot in the call, internal meetings captured by rule. Every call auto-scored against your framework, SPICED, MEDDIC or your own. Any field you can describe, computed per meeting, deal and account, and backfilled across the calls you already have. Your agents read all of it, and can define new fields themselves. Start with one seat.

Modjo: for teams with a settled methodology and admin capacity.

Modjo is a mature platform: deep call review, a full deal and account layer with warnings and a weekly risk digest, fully custom AI scoring, a mobile app for in-person meetings, a well-built MCP. It fits when your framework is settled, your admins have time to build and test templates, and measuring from the day you switch it on is enough.

FAQ

Common questions.

Is Claap a good alternative to Modjo?

Claap is the leading Modjo alternative for teams that want new answers on the calls they already have. No bot, internal meetings captured by rule, any AI field you can describe computed per meeting, deal and account, and backfilled across your history. Agents read and extend it through the Claap MCP. Pricing is published, from $32/user/month.

Which is better for coaching, Claap or Modjo?

Both score calls with AI, and Modjo's scoring is genuinely custom. Two differences. A Modjo scoring question must be tested on five calls by an admin before it can be published, and then it only applies to calls recorded afterwards. In Claap a criterion is a sentence, it goes live immediately, and it backfills. You can ask how the team did on it last quarter instead of waiting a quarter to find out.

How much does Modjo cost?

Modjo's pricing is quote-only, with annual commitments and a team threshold it describes as optimal from 3 reps. Claap publishes its pricing: Pro at $32, Business at $60 per user per month on annual billing. There's a free plan.

Does Modjo have an MCP server?

Yes. Modjo ships a solid MCP server, twelve tools and OAuth, listed in Claude's connector directory. The difference is what an agent can do with it. Modjo's tools only read, and their REST API writes just users and tags, so an agent can ask questions but cannot create a field or a view. Claap's does both, and its rows already carry every field value, so an aggregate over a thousand calls is ten reads, not a thousand analyses.

What does no-bot recording mean?

Claap captures calls natively instead of sending a recorder into the meeting, internal meetings included. Phone calls come from Aircall or Ringover. Consent workflows are supported. Modjo can record without its bot, but that path falls back to the platform's own recording: on Google Meet a rep has to press Record, and Modjo needs access to your Drive or SharePoint to fetch the file.

Can I switch from Modjo without losing my call history?

There's no one-click migration. But Claap sets up in minutes, and new AI fields backfill your historical Claap calls retroactively. Most teams fully transition in 2–4 weeks.

Is Claap GDPR compliant?

Yes. Claap is built in Europe, is GDPR compliant, and supports consent workflows for call recording across regions.
