What is Rewatch ?

Rewatch is a meeting recording and note-taking tool. It helps you improve your efficiency, working with synchronous video meetings. But there's more to it! Rewatch also helps you improve how you communicate to get better results. Let me explain this in more detail!

Main features of Rewatch

  • Transcription and recording: Rewatch transcribes and records your meetings. Who needs to worry about taking notes anymore?
  • AI Meeting Notes: In addition to transcription and recording, Rewatch provides a “Recap” section with a short summary of your meeting and a list of action items.
  • Screen recording: Rewatch allows you to record your screen to record asynchronous updates and communicate as accurately as you would with a synchronous meeting
  • Video hub: Rewatch is equipped with a video hub on which you can share videos with your teammates, and allow them to watch your videos and comment on them.
  • Video wiki: Rewatch stores your videos and transcriptions and allows you to find them in one click

How much does Rewatch cost ?

  • Free: with 15 transcribed recordings per month and 5 AI Summaries per month.
  • Team: $23.75/month per user (minimum 3 users) with unlimited videos recordings and unlimited AI Summaries
  • Enterprise: Custom

Rewatch is a strong tool, and is not that expensive. Overall, it’s a very good option. But I wouldn’t say it’s the best. There are other tools with different features that could be more interesting to you according to your use case. And if you really want similar features, Claap is better in my opinion.

Claap, the best alternative overall

Honestly, Claap is very similar to Rewatch. But in my opinion, it’s slightly better due to its enhanced collaboration features. Here are the main advantages of Claap.

Claap’s main advantages

  • The best transcription and recording capabilities: Claap is the very best in terms of transcription. And I’m not saying that without reason : Claap supports 100+ languages and has the best transcription accuracy among this kind of tools !
  • AI features: Just like Rewatch, Claap comes with a range of basic AI features that will help you analyze your conversations. For instance, it can produce smart summaries, highlighting the key points of your meetings
  • Screen recording feature: Claap allows you to record videos with its screen recording feature. You can launch the screen recording, show what you want to show and share your video with your teammates to collect their feedback and questions !
  • Video library: Claap stores your recorded meetings in a video library. In this library, you can find all your past meetings and transcriptions using only one word mentioned during the meeting !
• Large sharing options: You can use Claap’s workspaces to share your videos, whether you’ve recorded them or even created them using Claap. You can even share your videos with external people like prospects/clients and embed videos everywhere !
  • Advanced collaboration features: Claap effectively substitutes synchronous meetings, offering extensive collaboration possibilities. For example, you can pose questions or provide feedback on specific sections of the screen at precise moments in the video.

Claap’s limitations

  • Compatibility: Claap’s desktop app is currently only available on Mac. Windows is on the way.
  • Limits of the Free Plan: Claap only allows 10 video uploads with the free plan.

Claap’s pricing

  • Basic: Free with an upload limit of 10 videos.
  • Starter: $10/month per user with unlimited videos upload/storage.
  • Pro: $30/month per user with access to AI features.
  • Enterprise: Custom

The pricing of Claap aligns closely with that of Rewatch. Actually, both options are excellent value for money. But their primary advantage lies in their ability to substitute traditional meetings. Claap excels in this regard with its interface, which facilitates higher levels of collaboration. But, let's explore other alternatives that have other advantages !

Gong, the best revenue intelligence alternative

If you’re looking for very advanced analysis capabilities, you might be interested by Gong. Equipped with conversation intelligence and revenue intelligence features, Gong enables you to extract maximum insights from interactions and enhance revenue generation optimization.

  • Transcription and recording
  • Advanced analytics: Gong is equipped with conversation intelligence capabilities and is able to understand various aspects of communication, including sentiment analysis, tone analysis, and providing valuable insights into conversation dynamics and outcomes.
  • Activity tracking: Gong lets you keep an eye on your sales team's activity at any moment by highlighting topics discussed and offering tailored insights.
  • Real-time insights: Gong is a real-time conversation intelligence software. It analyzes your conversations in real time and gives insights and advice on the posture to adopt !
  • External analysis: Gong offers thorough analysis by incorporating external data, such as market trends.

  • Transcription issues: Some users have encountered transcription challenges with Gong, including occasional inaccuracies and slow loading times. If transcription accuracy is a top priority for you, considering an alternative like Claap may be a wise choice.
  • High price: Gong is an expensive tool and might not correspond to your financial capabilities

Gong’s prices are on demand and depend on your specific needs. On average, a company using Gong pays $1,600 per user per year (for a company with less than 50 employees), making it an expensive tool.

Jiminny, the best alternative for sales team coaching

Another use case for such a tool is training and coaching your sales reps. The tool records your meetings, analyzes them to determine the most effective ones, and uses them as references for new recruits! Pretty ingenious, isn’t it? If you’re interested in this functionality, you might want to consider Jiminny. But let me introduce you to the tool !

  • Transcription and recording
  • Conversation analysis: Just like Gong, Jiminny comes with different conversation intelligence features, notably sentiment analysis and intent analysis to help you get the most out of your interactions
  • Topic Tracking: Jiminny keeps track of the different topics talked about in conversations, making it easier to find problems and things that need to get better.
  • Call Scoring: With Jiminny's advanced scoring system for calls, you can see how well your salespeople are doing. This helps them get better at their job and close more deals. Using this system is a great way to help new salespeople learn quickly!

  • Bug Errors: Some users have experienced frequent bugs and crashes when using Jiminny, which can be quite inconvenient, particularly during important meetings.
  • Transcription Inaccuracy: Jiminny's transcription feature occasionally produces inaccuracies, especially when transcribing and identifying speakers during calls. Users have reported difficulties with certain words and names as well.

Jiminny no longer offers standardized plans. The price is set according to the size and needs of your team. According to certain sources, it seems that you can expect to pay around $85/user/month, which positions the tool as quite expensive, but still affordable for a tool of this quality.

Perfect Recall, the cheapest alternative

Source: Perfect Recall

After discussing these two pricey options, I thought you might appreciate a more budget-friendly alternative. If you're on a tight budget, you might want to consider Perfect Recall. I’ll explain why.

  • Transcription and recording (on Zoom only)
  • Section creation: Perfect Recall lets you create sections during meetings to highlight key moments, making it easy to navigate through the recorded session.
  • Edition tools: With Perfect Recall, you have the possibility to edit your recordings and craft clips using the pre-defined sections. It’s very useful when you need to quickly share a snippet of a meeting!
• Sharing options: In one click, Perfect Recall allows you to share your recordings/clips on the main communication channels you could use!
  • Editing Tools: With Perfect Recall, you can edit your recordings and create clips using predefined sections. This feature comes in handy when you need to quickly share an interesting part of your meeting!
  • Sharing Options: With just one click, Perfect Recall enables you to share your recordings or clips on various communication channels !

  • Limited compatibility: The main drawback of Perfect Recall is that it only functions with Zoom. If you use a different video platform, this tool may not be suitable for your needs.
  • Lack of analysis capabilities: While Perfect Recall is useful to transcribe your Zoom meetings, it lacks the capability to perform any analysis. If you seek a more comprehensive tool for summarizing notes and highlighting key takeaways, I recommend considering Claap.
  • Limited video library: Perfect Recall's video library allows you to search for past meetings using their titles, rather than their content, which limits its functionality compared to other options.

Perfect Recall offers a unique plan detailed below, which is quite cheap:

  • Regular Plan: $15/month per user

Hubspot Sales Hub: the best option for Hubspot CRM users

A lot of companies use HubSpot CRM. That’s why I wanted to mention HubSpot Sales Hub as an interesting option. With its seamless integration with HubSpot CRM, Sales Hub offers a comprehensive solution for managing your sales activities, from prospecting to closing deals.

  • Transcription and recording
  • Advanced analytics: Hubspot Sales Hub is a conversation intelligence tool and equipped with advanced analytics features. Your interactions are analyzed and transformed into valuable insights, providing actionable data to drive business growth !
  • Integration with Hubspot CRM: HubSpot Sales Hub seamlessly integrates with HubSpot CRM, leveraging its database and additional features like deal creation and company management. This cohesive integration ensures a smooth experience, utilizing the full spectrum of HubSpot CRM functionalities.

  • High price: Hubspot is an expensive option. But if you use Hubspot CRM, the time saved could be worth the price.
  • No auto-save feature: HubSpot Sales Hub lacks an auto-save feature, so it's essential to remember to save your work manually before closing the tool to avoid any loss of data.

  • Professional plan: $450/month, with 5 users included (additional $90/month for every additional user), for transcription features but not conversation intelligence
  • Enterprise plan: $1500/month, with 10 users included (additional $150/month for every additional user), with every feature presented earlier (conversation intelligence, other sales tools…)

There are a lot of alternatives to Rewatch available in the market, each with its own unique features that might better suit your needs. Strictly speaking, if you're seeking a Rewatch alternative, Claap stands out as the top choice. While offering similar features, Claap is better, in my opinion, in collaboration aspects.
