Record a short video, then cut it from the transcript
- Record only the current Chrome tab, so other customers’ data on your screen stays out of the video.
- Select a sentence in the transcript and delete it: the matching part of the video disappears with it.
- Remove silences in one click, and add a button at the end so the buyer knows the next step.

Send it where the buyer reads, and see if it was watched
- In Gmail, paste the GIF thumbnail: the buyer sees the video moving and opens it in one click.
- Video insights show the views and how much was watched, so you know if they reached the end.
- Viewers without a Claap account are grouped as anonymous. On a video made for one buyer, that is usually them.

The meeting the video booked comes back as notes
- Notes come back in your format, MEDDIC or your own, with the pains, the decision process and the next step.
- The recap email goes to attendees after the call, so the buyer has the same summary you do.
- Prefer no bot in the meeting? Record it from the Chrome extension, and the notes come back the same way.

The deal updates itself after each call
- HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Attio are updated from the call, so reps stop retyping notes into the CRM.
- The follow-up email is drafted from the conversation, ready for the rep to edit and send.
- Your best demo videos and calls sit in channels by team, so new reps reuse what already worked.

What buyers say about video in a separate tool
Three tools for one deal
[...] it also would actually be note-taking and [...] video sharing tool like Loom. So basically combine those three different use cases into one tool.
What Claap does
Claap records calls, takes notes and records screen videos.
A seat for an occasional job
We have accounts for Loom, but honestly like the pricing model oftentimes for like Loom is like, it’s just such a one-off use case sometimes.
What Claap does
Screen and camera recording come with every plan, free included.
One tab on screen, nothing else
One of the big things is the capability to record by tab [...] just for security purposes, obviously.
What Claap does
Claap’s Chrome extension can record one tab, nothing else.
Video for sales, answered
What is video recording software for sales teams?
Software that lets reps record their screen and camera, share the video as a link and see whether buyers watched it. Sales teams use it for prospecting videos, recorded demos and recaps. Claap also records the sales calls that follow and turns them into notes and CRM updates.
What is video prospecting?
Video prospecting means sending a short recorded video in a cold email or LinkedIn message instead of text alone. The rep shows the buyer something specific to them, such as their own website. In Claap you record it from the Chrome extension and paste a GIF thumbnail into Gmail.
Can I see who watched my sales video?
Every plan shows whether a video was viewed. From Pro, Video insights count views and show how much each viewer watched. Viewers signed in to Claap appear by name; anyone who opens the public link without an account is grouped on one anonymous line.
Do I still need Loom or Vidyard if I use Claap?
Not to record and send screen and camera videos: Claap does that, with editing from the transcript, view insights and call-to-action buttons. Claap does not generate AI avatar or voice-cloned videos at scale. Where it goes further is the calls after the video, which it records and turns into notes and CRM updates.
Which video features are on which plan?
Screen and camera recording, the Chrome extension, comments, video replies and viewability status are on every plan, Basic included. Pro adds editing from the transcript, stitching, Video insights, private videos and the Mac desktop app. Business adds call-to-action buttons, HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive and Attio, CRM auto-enrichment and AI-written emails.
What are the recording limits?
Basic is free: 10 recordings per user, 300 minutes in total and 3 uploads. Pro, at $32 per user per month billed yearly, gives unlimited recordings, 1,000 minutes a month and 10 uploads a month. Business, at $60, gives unlimited minutes and 50 uploads a month. Recordings are kept 3 months on Basic, 2 years on Pro and 3 years on Business.
What do I need to record a sales video with Claap?
The Chrome extension, on every plan, records your full screen, one window, the current tab or your camera alone. The Mac desktop app is available from Pro. Meetings on Zoom, Google Meet and Microsoft Teams record through the meeting bot once your calendar is connected.
Who can see my video?
Whoever you share it with. A public link can carry an expiry date and allow or block comments and downloads. From Pro you can also make a video private and file it in a private channel, so a prospect video and an internal deal review do not reach the same people.
Is every sales video transcribed?
Yes, every recording is transcribed. From Pro the transcript covers 99 languages and you can search, comment and edit it, which is also how you cut the video. Transcripts do not consume AI credits.
