Update

From onboarding to product demos, ways of collaborating with Claap are limitless. But depending on your usage, you might need to define different roles and permission rights.

To give you better control over what users can do in Claap and unlock external use cases, we’ve reworked the different roles in the product.

Let’s dive in 👇

For Workspace members

Members are frequent and registered collaborators, who have access to all features in your plan, and can both create and edit claaps & topics in the workspace.

👩‍🚀 Roles in videos & topics

When creating a claap or a topic, there are 3 types of roles that you can grant to members:

  • Can edit: editors can edit the claap video (or the topic) and all related informations
  • Can comment: commenters can view and comment on the claap videos (or videos in the topic)
  • Can view: viewers can only view the claap video (or videos in the topic) without commenting on it

To configure your access level, open the Share menu in the corresponding topic or claap video.

🆕 What’s new

For some broad communication, you may want to remove the ability to comment on your videos. It is now possible. Users can still request access like they would in Google Docs.

For Guests & Public Links

🆕 What’s new

For videos you are collaborating on with multiple people from different organizations, you may want to remove commenting rights. There is now a new “view-only” mode where the video appears without the comment panel on the right.
