What is a Chrome audio capture extension?
A browser add-on that records the audio playing in Chrome, a meeting, a video or a tab, often with the screen and your microphone too. Claap adds what happens next: a transcript, an AI summary and a link to share.
How can I start capturing audio in Chrome?
Install the Claap Chrome extension, open it from your Chrome bar, choose what to capture (a tab, a window, your screen, with or without camera) and start recording. On Google Meet, open it during the call. Stop, and the recording is in your workspace.
Is Chrome audio capture compatible with both Windows and Mac?
Yes. The Claap extension runs in Chrome on Windows and on Mac. From Pro, the Mac desktop app records system audio too.
What languages are supported for Chrome Audio Capture?
Transcription covers 99 languages from Pro, including English, French, German, Spanish, Italian, Dutch, Portuguese, Polish, Arabic, Hindi, Japanese, Korean and Chinese. Claap detects the language of each recording on its own.
Can I search within a video or transcript for specific words or phrases?
Yes, from Pro. Search inside a transcript to find every occurrence of a word and jump to it in the video, or search across the whole workspace.
How do I control access rights to my videos and transcripts on Claap?
From Pro, videos and channels can be private, links have advanced settings and roles control who can view, comment or edit. On Enterprise, SSO and SCIM provisioning manage who gets in at all.
Do you use the transcript to train AI-generative models?
