# Half the deal happens in email. Capture it too.

The pricing question answered by email, the renewal date confirmed three weeks ago. Email Sync pulls those threads onto the deal, next to your calls.

What lands in Claap

## Every email with the contact, in Claap.

- Connect your CRM, turn on Email Sync and link your mailbox. After that, contact emails arrive automatically.
- The first sync backfills roughly 12 months of history, so the timeline holds last year's threads from day one.
- Emails land on the same contact as the calls, so you read the whole exchange in one place.

One timeline

## Stop jumping between inbox, CRM and recording

- Every contact and every deal gets one timeline, so you stop jumping between inbox, CRM and recording.
- Emails sit in order with the calls: the thread confirming the renewal date follows the call that raised it.
- Only mail tied to a deal lands there, without no-reply senders or calendar invites, so the timeline stays readable.

What the AI reads

## Answers grounded in the whole conversation.

- ClaapAgent answers from calls, meetings and emails together, so the pricing thread is part of the answer.
- Your own agents read the captured emails through the MCP server, so they reason over the full deal history.
- Answers cite the emails they draw on, so you can check what was actually written.

### Nothing to forward, nothing to tag

The inbox half of a deal stays invisible because nobody forwards it. Claap matches the thread and puts the email on the deal.

### Read-only, and only mail that touches a deal

Reps connect their own mailbox, read-only: Claap cannot send, edit or delete. It reads Gmail Inbox and Sent or the Outlook Inbox, never Spam or Drafts.

### Answers that include what was written

Ask where a deal stands and an assistant that only read the calls misses the pricing thread. ClaapAgent answers from the emails too, citing them.

## Frequently asked questions

How does Claap get my emails?

Through your CRM connection, HubSpot at launch. An admin turns on Email Sync for the workspace, then each rep connects their own Gmail or Outlook mailbox, read-only. The first sync brings in roughly the last 12 months, and new emails follow within about 15 minutes.

Which emails get captured?

Only the ones that match a deal in your CRM. Claap reads the participants on the thread, matches them to CRM contacts and puts the email on the related deal, alongside the meetings and calls in one timeline. Anything it cannot tie to a deal is dropped and never stored, and private subjects, no-reply and automated senders, calendar invites and anything over 50 recipients are filtered out too.

Do the emails change what ClaapAgent can answer?

Yes, and that is the point. Captured emails feed ClaapAgent, so a question like what is the status of this deal, or what did we commit to, is answered from the calls and the emails together, with citations. ClaapAgent on a single meeting is included from Pro; ClaapAgent across meetings, deals, companies and people is on Business and Enterprise.

Can my own agents read the captured emails?

Yes. Claap's MCP server exposes emails as an interaction type you can query by contact, company or deal, so your AI assistant and your agents reason over the complete deal history. Claap MCP is on every plan, including the free one, and the Claap API on Enterprise.

Who can see the emails Claap captures?

Every workspace member who can see the deal, whichever rep's mailbox the email came from: the deal view is shared by design. What keeps personal mail out is the filtering: an email with no deal match is never stored, and private subjects, no-reply senders, calendar invites and mass emails are dropped.

Does Claap track email opens and clicks?

No. The mailbox connection is read-only, so Claap adds no tracking pixel and rewrites no link. What Claap tracks is the conversation itself: every email with your contacts on the right deal, next to the calls. Opens and clicks stay with your sequencing tool or CRM.
